The framework
Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022
Introduced specific duties in multi-occupied residential buildings, including checks of flat entrance doors and doors in common parts, and information for residents about fire doors.
The door is an assembly
The leaf, frame, seals, hinges, closer, glazing and gaps are all part of the certified performance. A single altered component can compromise the whole assembly.
Evidence matters
Compliance is demonstrated through records. Photographs, measurements and dated door-by-door schedules turn an inspection into usable evidence.
